Кириакос Филиппидис — тот самый «мужчина с апельсинами»

Лимассол — это не только исторические здания, но и, в первую очередь, люди, которые сами часто становятся достопримечательностями благодаря своему доброму отношению к окружающим. Одним из таких жителей был Кириакос Филиппидис, скончавшийся в начале 2018 года в возрасте 98 лет. Чем он был известен?

Молодое поколение лимассольцев знало его просто как «дедушку с апельсиновым соком». Пожилого мужчину всегда можно было найти сидящим у своего магазинчика на улице Генетлиу Мителла, улыбающимся и машущим всем, кто проходил мимо. Именно таким местные жители и гости города запомнили его. За время своей жизни Кириакос Филиппидис стал как будто частью города и его исторического наследия.

Кириакос большую часть своей жизни занимался изготовлением обуви в своей собственной мастерской, одной из самых известных в Лимассоле, на улице Зигзаг. Сейчас в этом здании находится кафе-бар Guest. Именно этой мастерской он посвятил свои самые лучшие годы, обслуживая тысячи клиентов, которые приходили к нему, чтобы заказать обувь. Среди них были даже такие знаменитости, как греческая певица и актриса София Вембо.

Единственной проблемой, с которой Кириакос Филиппидис столкнулся в последние годы своей жизни, было ухудшение зрения — неизбежное следствие того, что он десятилетиями корпел над чертежами и кожей. Две вещи были для него важны как воздух – его дело и его общение с людьми. На старости лет он открыл небольшой магазинчик, где продавал апельсиновый сок и прохладительные напитки. Хотя магазин не приносил большого дохода, он давал Кириакосу главное — общение. Однако когда несчастный случай привел его на больничную койку, он как будто потерял часть себя и его душа угасла. Пребывание на свежем воздухе, встречи с людьми, обмен приветствиями и участие в разговорах — вот что давало ему волю к жизни. «Где-то в возрасте 85 лет он начал учиться работать за компьютером», — вспоминает его дочь Лидия, подтверждая мнение о том, что это был человек, который стремился постоянно чувствовать связь с миром, общаясь с окружающими его людьми.

Дети продолжают дело отца

Кириакос Филиппидис приехал в Лимассол в одиночку в возрасте 14 или 15 лет, желая заработать на жизнь. Лидия, одна из шестерых его детей, рассказывает, как он сначала работал вместе со своим братом, который был плотником, а затем решил стать учеником ремесленника и научиться искусству изготовления обуви. Он десятилетиями делал обувь для жителей Лимассола и других городов. Его первый магазин был на улице Агиу Андреу, но как только он нанял сотрудников, пришлось переехать в помещение побольше. В своей мастерской на улице Зигзаг, где сегодня находятся кафе, рестораны и бары, он провел почти всю свою жизнь. «Отец нанял 10-15 мастеров и мастериц, поэтому ему требовалось больше места», — вспоминает Лидия, которая единственная из детей Кириакоса Филиппидиса продолжает его дело. Сегодня у нее собственная обувная мастерская недалеко от театра «Эна», всего в нескольких шагах от того места, где когда-то стоял магазин ее отца. Сын Лидии, Титос, тоже посвятил себя обувному делу, получив квалификацию за границей.

Страсть к работе

Во времена Кириакоса обувь была предметом особого внимания, ее покупали только один или два раза в год. Мастер Филиппидис знал это и следил за тем, чтобы каждая пара, которую он делал, была идеальной. Лидия вспоминает, что как личность он был очень цельным, и благодаря этому прожил счастливую жизнь. «Он был тихим человеком, спокойным и рассудительным. Все это было важными характеристиками для его работы. Он также был человеком, сконцентрированном на семье, доме и церкви. Он никогда не выходил за рамки дозволенного, никогда не пил и ничем не злоупотреблял. На самом деле, я даже не могу припомнить, чтобы он злился. Он никогда не кричал и не поднимал руку ни на кого из своих детей», — вспоминает его дочь.

Внук Кириакоса Титос рассказывает, что дед передал им все свои знания и опыт. «Он научил нас, как выжить в этой отрасли. Главное — продолжать следовать своей страсти. Если вы оставите ее, она оставит вас», — говорит Титос. «Наша работа прямо здесь, с людьми», — всегда говорил он, подчеркивая важность общения и хороших отношений с клиентами, как на профессиональном, так и на личном уровне. Для него было особенно важно полностью понять требования клиента и, в свою очередь, дать правильный совет, чтобы убедиться, что заказчик ушел счастливым и довольным. «Наш отец любил свою работу и никогда не уклонялся от нее, даже если это заставляло его часами отсутствовать дома. Он не мог проводить со своей семьей столько времени, сколько хотел, тем более, что нас было очень много, но он гордился тем, что создал успешное дело, которое позволило ему растить и обеспечивать своих детей», — делится Лидия, добавляя, что именно тот факт, что отца никогда не было дома, побудил ее присоединиться к нему в мастерской и начать помогать. Хотя сам он никогда не говорил, что хочет, чтобы дети продолжали его дело. «Конечно, он гордился тем, что я рядом с ним, продолжаю работать в его мастерской. Но это было мое собственное решение, и оно, конечно, его очень радовало», — говорит его дочь.

Граффити на память

Кириакос Филиппидис был одним из тех людей, которые, несмотря на спокойную и, на первый взгляд, неприметную жизнь, оставили свой след в истории Лимассола. Доказательством этого стало то, что в июле 2018 года на стене дома, в котором Кириакос открыл магазин апельсинового сока, появился его граффити-портрет. Автором стал художник Леонидас Константис. Он был вдохновлен историей Кириакоса и решил запечатлеть мастера на его обычном месте на улице Генетлиу Мителла.

«Недавно, — говорит Леонидас, — когда я проходил мимо этого места, я не мог не обратить внимания на дом, где раньше был его магазин. Несмотря на то, что помещение закрыто с тех пор, как Кириакос покинул нас, люди все еще помнят его как характерную для Лимассола фигуру, как улыбчивого и приветливого человека». Леонидас нашел способ вернуть Кириакоса на это место, изобразив на стене его портрет.

    1            Application of terms

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
