14 залов Кипрского музея в Никосии

Первый археологический музей Кипра открылся в 1882 году и занимал два зала в одном из зданий колониальной администрации. В будущем экспозиция переезжала, финальное здание музея перестраивалось, но это по-прежнему главный музей острова. Почему? Читайте в этой статье.

В 1889 году музей переехал в отдельный особняк на ул. Королевы Виктории в старом городе Никосии (сегодня эта улица располагается на оккупированных территориях).

В 1908 году англичане начали строить здание, в котором Кипрский музей располагается по сей день. Архитекторы Н. Баланос, сотрудник Археологической организации Афин, и Джордж Джеффри, куратор всех археологических памятников на острове, спроектировали новый особняк в стиле неоклассицизма. В 1909 году в новооткрытые помещения переехала вся экспозиция. С 1909 года здание периодически достраивалось, к нему добавляли новые помещения и залы, была перекрыта большая часть внутреннего двора, надстроен этаж и существенно расширено северное крыло. В 1935 году, с принятием закона о древностях и создания соответствующего департамента, началась реорганизация коллекций Кипрского музея, которую возглавил знаменитый кипрский археолог Порфириос Дикеос.

Сегодня Кипрский музей состоит из 14 залов, которые расположены вокруг центрального помещения, где разместилась библиотека, хранилище и лаборатория для консервации памятников. Экспозиция организована в хронологическом и тематическом порядке, начиная от находок из 10-го тысячелетия до нашей эры и до римского периода.

В Зале 1 представлен неолит и халколит. Экспозиция здесь относительно недавно была реорганизована на основе современных научных данных и археологических находок. Вы увидите инструменты, сосуды, украшения и другие предметы этих периодов. В центральной витрине выставлена подборка чрезвычайно интересных находок, которые свидетельствуют о существовании доисторических религиозных культов на острове.

Зал 2 и 3: керамика
Два следующих зала посвящены керамике. В Зале 2 размещены находки времен раннего бронзового века, в Зале 3 — среднего и позднего бронзового века, архаики, классической, эллинистической и римской эпох. Наравне с находками кипрского происхождения здесь находятся образцы керамики микенской, минойской, финикийской и аттической культур.

Зал 4: терракотовая армия Кипра
В Зале 4 выставлены глиняные фигуры божеств и скульптуры из древнего святилища, обнаруженного в районе селения Агиа Ирини (ныне на оккупированных территориях) .

Зал 5: история скульптуры
В Зале 5 представлена эволюция кипрской скульптуры со времен архаики, когда их делали в основном из кипрского известняка, через периоды ионического и египетского влияния до классики и римского времени. В классический период заметно явное греческое влияние, легко можно опознать изображения греческих богов, которых делали только из импортированного мрамора, так как на Кипре нет залежей этой породы.

Зал 6: мраморные и латунные статуи
Следующий этап развития кипрской скульптуры представлен в Зале 6, где экспонируются мраморные и латунные статуи эллинистической и римской эпох. Главным экспонатом считается латунная скульптура римского императора Септимия Севера, которая была найдена в Китрее в конце 1920-х годов.

Зал 7: предметы из металла и стекла
Зал 7 разделен на три части. Первая занята коллекцией металлических предметов разных эпох. Здесь же выставлены культовые объекты, например, статуя рогатого бога из Энгоми. Во второй части этого зала представлена коллекция печатей и монет разных времен, от эпохи кипрских городов-царств до времени Птолемеев и римлян. Наконец, третья часть посвящена украшениям, работе по стеклу, светильникам из разных материалов.

Зал 8 и 9: погребальная культура
В Зале 8 выставлены древние гробницы от 4 тысячелетия до IV века до н.э. Зал 9 посвящен другим предметам погребальной культуры.

Зал 10: кипрская письменность
В Зале 10 главной темой выбрана эволюция кипрского письма — представлены образцы кипро-минойского письма (XV — XI вв. до н.э.), которое до сих пор не расшифровано, кипро-силлабического письма, которое использовалось для записи греческих слов и было в ходу на острове до III в. до н.э., также есть несколько примеров финикийских надписей и, наконец, древнегреческая эпиграфика.

Зал 11, 12, 13 и 14: находки из Саламина и глиняные идолы
В Зале 11, расположенном на втором этаже, хранятся находки из царских гробниц Саламина, датированные концом VIII — началом VII века.
В Зале 12 проходят выставки. В Зале 13 находятся скульптуры из римского гимнасия в Саламине. Наконец, Зал 14 посвящен глиняным идолам Кипра.

    1            Application of terms

    In these Terms:

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
