Спасатели: дети тонут, пока родители в соцсетях

Лимассольские спасатели переводят дух — самый сложный период их работы позади, ведь зимой инцидентов на пляжах куда меньше. Но проблемы спасателей не ограничиваются только этим. «Вестник Кипра» поговорил со спасателем по имени Геркулес, чтобы узнать, как живется тем, кто отвечает за наши жизни, пока мы отдыхаем.

Недавно прошло очередное общенациональное собрание спасателей Кипра, на котором они подвели итоги сезона. Генеральный секретарь профсоюза OEKDY SEK Джордж Константину отметил, что «число спасателей в последние годы выросло с 141 человека в 2016 году до 267 спасателей в 2019 году». «Мы получили новое оборудование, урегулировали ряд спорных вопросов, но и этого пока недостаточно», — заявил он. Среди проблем спасатели по-прежнему называют нехватку людей и оборудования, а также низкую зарплату и отсутствие новых спасательных вышек. Что еще волнует спасателей, как они сами оценивают свою работу и чем гордятся? Чтобы узнать это, «Вестник Кипра» пообщался с одним из них — вот что нам рассказал Геркулес.

О статусе пляжных спасателей

«Спасатели тренируются с 12 лет, а первый диплом можно получить уже в 14 лет. Я работаю с 2002 года. Туристов с каждым годом все больше: летом на острове отдыхает 2-3 миллиона человек. И за каждым на пляже нужно наблюдать не только в воде, но и на суше. У меня намного больше обязанностей, чем вы думаете. Аварии на воде, утопающие, травмы, ожоги, приступы. Всем пострадавшим необходимо как можно быстрее оказать первую помощь, чтобы они дожили до приезда медиков. У нас есть специальное медицинское оборудование: кислородные баллоны, маски, электрошок, и на каждый из них — отдельный сертификат. У спасателя на руках – более пяти дипломов по технике использования оборудования. Тем не менее, официально мы не числимся на государственной службе как квалифицированные медики».

О главных проблемах

«Нам все время не хватает персонала. Несмотря на то, что количество спасателей за последний год увеличилось почти вдвое, этого все еще недостаточно. Сегодня в Лимассоле их всего 56. Это значит, что каждый пост должен следить за пляжем длиной в тысячу метров, хотя в идеале — не больше 300 метров. Мы используем бинокли, но даже с ними можно что-то упустить — чем дальше происшествие от поста, нем сложнее его предотвратить. Ещё одно упущение — наш инвентарь. Эта «старушка» здесь с 1997 года (Геркулес показывает на моторную лодку, на которой они подплывают к месту происшествия, если беда случилась далеко, — ред.), мы её регулярно ремонтируем, хотя нужна новая. Гидроциклы — самый подходящий для спасателей транспорт, но это недешево. Мы бы очень хотели привлечь спонсоров, но пока эффективной работы над этим не ведётся, а на помощь государства в этом мы и не рассчитываем. Кроме того, мы просим создать профсоюз спасателей и повысить наше жалование, даже выходим на забастовки. Одна из них помогла увеличить количество спасателей, продлить утренние и вечерние смены с шести утра до семи вечера. В 1997 и 2004 годах в парламенте уже принимались планы по улучшению условий нашей работы, подобный план «Саламис» должны были рассмотреть и в этом году, но этого до сих пор не произошло».

Об утопающих

«Конечно, опыт придает уверенности, когда ты видишь тонущего — все меньше инцидентов происходят для меня впервые. Чего я только не видел! Тем не менее, отдыхающие не перестают удивлять: у моих коллег были случаи, когда незнакомцы подводили к ним потерявшихся детей, родители которых мирно листали ленту новостей в социальных сетях».

О призвании

«Да, бывает сложно, но я стал спасателем, потомоу что хотел помогать людям. Это меня и удерживает до сих пор. Вопрос «Если не я, то кто?» должен быть мотивацией для каждого спасателя. Уже сейчас меня волнует, кому я передам свой пост — новый человек должен быть ответственным и неравнодушным. Как только почувствую, что не способен работать на пляже, обязательно возьмусь за тренерскую работу, чтобы воспитать новое поколение спасателей».

Четыре правила безопасности в море

Чтобы ваш пляжный отдых был безопасным, Геркулес советует соблюдать четыре основных правила.

1. Отплывая от берега, убедитесь, что вы в поле зрения спасателей. Старайтесь не заплывать за волнорезы, где вас не будет видно.

2. Плывите вдоль берега, а не от него. Несмотря на то, что спасатели контролируют зону купания до 200 метров от берега, для вас будет куда безопаснее плавать там, где вы легко можете достать до дна.

3. Не ешьте за два часа до купания, особенно если у вас есть какие-либо проблемы со здоровьем, это может вызвать приступ.

4. Не стоит помогать тонущим самостоятельно — спасая другого человека, вы ставите и свою жизнь под угрозу. Лучше приложите все усилия для того, чтобы спасатель как можно скорее узнал об утопающем. Человеческий мозг может провести лишь 3 минуты без кислорода, так что паника в таком деле неуместна. Если на пляже никого нет, можно подать тонущему что-то, что держится на воде: спасательный круг, кусок дерева или даже лежак. Главное, не надо подавать руку. Когда человек тонет, у него в 10 раз больше сил, и он может утянуть на дно вас обоих, пытаясь спасти себя.

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    including and similar words do not imply any limit

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    We, us or our means VESTNIK KIPRA Group

    Website means https://vkcyprus.com/

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.
     

    5            Intellectual property

    We (and our licensors) own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the Website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

    6.1        To the extent permitted by law, we and our licensors have no liability or responsibility to you or any other person for any Loss in connection with:

    a the Website being unavailable (in whole or in part) or performing slowly;

    b any error in, or omission from, any information made available through the Website;

    c any exposure to viruses or other forms of interference which may damage your computer system or expose you to fraud when you access or use the Website. To avoid doubt, you are responsible for ensuring the process by which you access and use the Website protects you from this; and

    8            Privacy policy

    8.1        You are not required to provide personal information to us, although in some cases if you choose not to do so then we will be unable to make certain sections of the Website available to you. For example, we may need to have your contact information in order to provide you with updates from our Website.

    8.2        The personal information you provide to us is collected and may be used for communicating with you, statistical analysis, the marketing by us of products

    and services to you, credit checks (if necessary), and research and development.

    8.3        We may also collect technical information whenever you log on to, or visit the public version of, our Website. This may include information about the way

    10         General

    10.1      If we need to contact you, we may do so by email or by posting a notice on the Website. You agree that this satisfies all legal requirements in relation to written communications.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
