Важные вопросы о коронавирусе. Отвечают кипрские ученые (2 часть)

В чем разница между карантином и изоляцией? Когда требуется их соблюдать?

Основная разница в том, куда помещается носитель вируса. Изоляция (то есть отказ от контактов с другими лицами) может быть где угодно, даже дома (тогда это называется «самоизоляция» или «изоляция на дому»). Карантин — это вид изоляции, но он обычно организован в специальном месте и сопровождается надзором. Карантин может быть индивидуальным, а может быть массовым (например, для целого города). На Кипре мы теперь стараемся избегать термина «карантин» и использовать больше термин «изоляция», потому что на карантин во время всеобщего «локдауна» отправляли тех, кто прилетел на остров («гостиничный карантин»).

Изолироваться необходимо, если:
— у вас лабораторно подтвержденное заражение вирусом;
— вы вступали в контакт с зараженным;
— проявились симптомы, напоминающие симптомы коронавируса, и вы ожидаете результатов теста.

Изолироваться можно дома или в другом месте, если у изолирующегося нет постоянного места жительства на острове (например, он прилетел из-за границы) или по иным социальным причинам. Подразумевается, что если заболевшему потребуется срочная медицинская помощь, он будет переведен в больницу.

Перерывы, которые происходят в клинических испытаниях вакцин из-за обнаруженных побочных эффектов, не заставляют ученых считать, что прививка в итоге не будет такой уж эффективной и безопасной?

Перерыв в клиническом исследовании происходит, когда у кого-то из добровольцев проявляется неожиданный симптом. Перерыв в этом случае предписан протоколом безопасности и говорит о том, что все меры по защите добровольцев соблюдаются, а это само по себе увеличивает доверие общества к этим испытаниям. Тесты проходят на тысячах добровольцев и, как только у кого-то из них появляется неожиданный или необъяснимый симптом, исследование прерывают, чтобы выяснить следующее: что именно это за симптом и откуда он взялся, и отвечает ли вакцина за эту симптоматику. Перерывы в клинических исследованиях естественны для испытаний любого нового лекарства и не означают автоматически чего-то плохого. Например, в испытаниях вакцины от Johnson&Johnson, которые недавно были приостановлены, принимают участие 60 000 добровольцев. Естественно предположить, что у кого-то из них есть болезнь, о которой они не знали, или что лекарства, которые они принимают от хронических заболеваний, могли вызвать эти симптомы, или у них были некие особенности здоровья типа аллергии, и т.д. Любой непредвиденный заранее симптом заставляет делать перерыв в тестах. Все возможные причины симптоматики изучает специальный экспертный комитет, чтобы понять, вызвана ли она вакциной или нет. Выводы этого комитета направляют в национальную организацию, которая отвечает за сертифицирование лекарств, и та уже принимает окончательное решение, можно ли продолжать испытания или их нужно сворачивать полностью. Фармацевтическая компания не имеет никакой власти самостоятельно принимать решение о возобновлении испытаний после перерыва. А это значит, что если исследования продолжатся, то случай появления симптомов прошел аналитический разбор, который подтвердил безопасность вакцины. Подробнее

Мои друзья из Греции планируют прилететь на Кипр на две недели. Они обязаны сделать тест на коронавирус накануне вылета. Если тест будет отрицательным, безопасно ли мне принимать их у себя дома? Нужно ли им делать второй тест? Какие еще меры вы бы советовали принять?

Конечно, прилетающие из стран категории В должны сделать тест на коронавирус в течение 72 часов перед путешествием. Если страна находится в категории В, это значит, что у нее хорошая эпидемиологическая ситуация, но все же есть некоторая нестабильность (в отличие от стран категории А). Если тест перед путешествием отрицательный, то формально контакты с этими людьми считаются безопасными и особый риск заражения отсутствует. Однако Министерство здравоохранения рекомендует даже при этих условиях соблюдать осторожность, избегая тесных контактов на протяжении нескольких дней (не обниматься, жить в разных комнатах, использовать отдельную ванную и отдельные кухонные приборы, регулярно мыть руки), а самим путешественникам следить за своим состоянием и, если есть возможность, сделать еще один тест примерно через неделю после прибытия. Соблюдение профилактических мер типа ношения масок и мытья рук может уменьшить распространение других болезней, например, простудных заболеваний и гриппа?

Скорее всего, да, в какой-то мере именно этого мы и ожидаем. Но в конечном счете это зависит от того, похож ли способ распространения этих болезней на способ распространения коронавируса. Что касается защиты дыхательных путей, маски действительно помогут избежать других бактерий и вирусов, передающихся воздушно-капельным путем. То же самое действительно для заболеваний, попадающих в организм через слизистую (глаза, нос, рот) после прикосновения руками — частое мытье рук может защитить нас от этого. По этой же причине, например, все хирурги, которые входят в операционную, тщательно моют руки с мылом и надевают маску, чтобы не передать пациенту бактерии или вирусы. Есть множество исследований, которые предписывают ношение маски и мытье рук в борьбе с вирусами и бактериями (подробнее по ссылке). В одном из метаанализов 21 исследования о защитных возможностях маски против вирусов дыхательных путей было установлено, что маска может защитить от SARS-CoV, H1N1, SARS-CoV2 и респираторных инфекций. В другом исследовании от 2011 года было установлено, что мытье рук снижает количество бактерий на них, включая энтерококки и стрептококки, примерно на 80% (подробнее по ссылке).

    1            Application of terms

    3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    We, us or our means VESTNIK KIPRA Group

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.
     

    5            Intellectual property

    We (and our licensors) own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the Website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

    10         General

    10.1      If we need to contact you, we may do so by email or by posting a notice on the Website. You agree that this satisfies all legal requirements in relation to written communications.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
