Пост, как и всякий подвиг, мы совершаем для себя, а не для Бога. Человек – вот кто нуждается в исцелении, поскольку изранен своими страстями и грехами.

У многих людей имеются сомнения в связи с постом: какая от него польза, зачем надо поститься и что означает пост, к которому мы сейчас призваны приступить?

Великий пост – главный, и есть много толкований – и богословских, и практических, объясняющих, почему человек постится.

Отцы говорят, что первая заповедь, которую Бог дал человеку, – это заповедь о посте, когда Бог сказал Адаму и Еве, что они могут есть от всех деревьев в раю, но от древа познания добра и зла им есть нельзя. Ее нарушение привело к изгнанию человека из рая. И сам Христос, когда ради нас стал Человеком, подал нам пример, постясь 40 дней и ночей в Иорданской пустыне, куда отвел Его Святой Дух. В этой пустынной атмосфере и безмолвии, в посте и подвиге Господь победил диавола.

Отношение к посту, который бывает разным в зависимости от периода, часто представляется пропитанным схоластикой, и некоторые люди даже свели его к химическому анализу продуктов. Но человек не должен быть чрезмерно схоластичным, потому что мы не должны производить на людей, находящихся вне Церкви, такое впечатление, будто самое главное, что нас заботит, – есть ли тут капелька растительного масла, и не смотрим реально на суть и смысл поста. А важно то, что через пост человек получает осознание своей принадлежности к телу Церкви: Церковь как тело, как одно целое верующих постится в этот период, причем вот этим способом. Сейчас период поста, а если мы принадлежим к телу Церкви, значит, мы уже члены этого тела и что делает все тело, то же делаем и мы.

Все православные христиане по всей земле в этот день постятся, а значит, постимся и мы, значит, мы члены этого тела. Мы не можем отделяться, не можем делать что-нибудь сами, не может народ Божий идти по одному пути, а мы следовали бы по другому. Очень важно, что мы все, православные христиане, празднуем все праздники вместе, особенно Пасху, все вместе, тогда как раньше не праздновали ее одновременно. Но Вселенские Соборы определили это как должное, именно для того, чтобы было такое чувство, что все мы принадлежим к телу Церкви, которое является конкретным, а не каким-то абстрактным или духовным телом.

Когда Церковь говорит тебе: «Смотри, сегодня ты не будешь есть мясо, не будешь есть эту еду, а будешь есть другое», – а тебе не нравится другая еда, тебе не хочется ее, ты не любишь эту еду, которую предписывает пост, но, несмотря на это, ты ее ешь, потому что пост. Тебе хочется, например, шашлыка, но ты его не ешь. Значит, ты отсекаешь свою волю.

Что значит отсечение воли? Помимо всего прочего оно означает, что если ты отсекаешь свою волю в этом простом деле и в этом конкретном случае принимаешь волю Церкви, то куда больше ты научишься потом отсекать свою волю перед братом своим, перед супругой, ребенком, а тем более перед волей Божией. Когда наша воля, имеющая в себе себялюбие и массу всего еще, сталкивается с Божией волей, тогда, естественно, она, наша воля, должна быть отсечена, искоренена, она должна отступить, чтобы мы приняли волю Божию, которая выражается в заповедях Божиих.

Кое-кто говорит: «Но я не понимаю, почему это грех?» Он не понимает. Действительно, как вы знаете, есть такие поступки, которые для Церкви являются грехом, но человеку нелегко понять, по какой в точности причине они грешны, в чем, другими словами, заключается сущность греха в этом конкретном поступке. Поскольку он еще духовно незрелый, человек должен принять, что для него достаточно того, если Бог определяет что-то как грех. Когда Бог говорит: «Не лги, не кради, не прелюбодействуй, не пожелай собственности ближнего твоего, не произноси имени Божия всуе, почитай родителей своих», – то хоть ты еще и не понимаешь сути греха, но, несмотря на это, по меньшей мере вначале ты должен принять как данность: если Бог говорит это и определяет это как грех, то оно и есть грех, падение и прерывание связи с Богом.

Пост, который предлагает нам Церковь, лишь первая ступень, и необходима великая борьба, покуда человек достигнет совершенства. Ты получаешь возможность упражняться в отсечении своей воли, что, естественно, помогает тебе в твоем отношении к Богу и ближнему и в то же время развивает смирение. Когда человек отсекает свою волю, он практически смиряется, практически отступает и затем начинает подвизаться, понимать, насколько это велико – чтобы человек был смиренным и принимал волю другого в своей жизни, а тем более волю Божию.

Другое очень важное благо, которое является следствием поста, – это смелость. Человек, когда постится, становится смелым, он приобретает смелость, которая вообще является очень важной добродетелью в духовной борьбе. Если у тебя нет смелости, ты не можешь спастись.

В Патерике повествуется нечто замечательное: один подвижник пошел и спросил авву:
– Скажи мне, авва, как я могу спастись?

А он ответил:
– Если у тебя есть сердце, ты можешь спастись.
Если у тебя нет смелости и ты боязлив, то ты не спасешься. Ты не можешь следовать за Богом, если ты боязлив, потому что, чтобы следовать за Богом и вообще делать что бы то ни было в своей жизни, ты должен быть смелым.
Человек должен иметь смелость в душе, чтобы смочь исполнять повседневные дела в своей жизни, от самых простых до самых сложных, до самых ценных, поскольку самым ценным является спасение. Если у тебя нет смелости, как ты скажешь нет греху? Как ты скажешь нет каждодневному вызову страстей, провокациям на искушения, если не научишься приобретать эту смелость.

Смелость – очень сильная и важная вещь, она – сила души, которую человек должен иметь. Бог говорит, что боязливые даже не войдут в Царство Божие. Это описывается в Откровении: в одном ряду с ворами, с теми, кто занимается магией, и т. д., находятся и боязливые, потому что страх – признак неверия. У боязливого человека имеются проблемы с верой. Сильный силен не потому, что он верит в себя.

Наступает пост, и ты говоришь: «Не могу, я утром буду пить кофе и мне хочется только капельку молока». И доливаешь туда капельку молока. Как же ты устоишь перед вызовом греха, искушения, страстей, если у тебя не хватает сил преодолеть такую мелочь?

Некоторые заявляют заранее, к примеру: «Ты знаешь, я еду в Англию и прошу благословения не поститься!»

Но человек не может продвигаться вперед таким способом. Ты скажи: «Я поеду, постараюсь сделать, что смогу. Я намерен соблюдать пост. Намерен соблюдать закон Божий. Сейчас. А если у меня не получится, если не смогу – это другой вопрос, это мы посмотрим потом». Не стоит предрешать свою слабость. Потому что Бог не оставляет человека одного. Бог и слабого человека делает сильным.

В молитве на рукоположение мы говорим, что «Божия благодать немощное врачует и оскудевающее восполняет». Божия благодать восполняет то, чего недостает в человеке, и укрепляет то, что в нем немощно и слабо.

Разумеется, если человек хочет. Ты отдаешь Богу свою волю и получаешь от Него Его силу, чтобы совершить свое дело.

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    a            you agree to these Terms; and

    b            where your access and use is on behalf of another person (e.g. a company), you confirm that you are authorised to, and do in fact, agree to these Terms

    on that person’s behalf and that, by agreeing to these Terms on that person’s behalf, that person is bound by these Terms.

    3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
